Are you looking for a fun way to share the gospel message? One that will be joyfully received? I found a surefire way to get Jesus into people’s hands and hearts. And I haven’t been turned away yet. What is it you ask? It’s a very simple yet effective method. I give a “Gospel gift”. 

What is a Gospel gift?  It’s a simple gift of appreciation that includes a bible and a gospel tract. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but there are some requirements to make a “Gospel gift” successful:

1. The gift should be something the recipient will enjoy. For example, a coffee lover would love a new mug or specialty coffee. A neighbor might appreciate some fresh baked cookies. Your hairdresser may enjoy a scented candle. Just make sure the gift says, “I was thinking of you.”
2. Include a card that has a heartfelt message on how you appreciate that person. It can be handmade or purchased from the dollar store, but let them know you care.
3. Include a bible. It’s surprising how many people don’t own a bible! You can purchase an outreach bible for just a few dollars on Amazon or Christianbook.com. Find a version that is easy to read such as the ESV or NKJV.
4. Include a gospel tract. You can also purchase these on Amazon in packs at an affordable price. I found the tract, “The 60 Second Gospel” to be a clear, direct way to deliver the Gospel message.
5. Make the gift look attractive. People love a surprise that they can’t wait to open! Use wrapping paper, a gift bag, or even create a gift basket. Get as creative as you want! The more attractive you gift is, the more excited they will be to receive it.

Giving Gospel gifts is so much fun and the list of people who need them is endless. Think of all the people that serve you- police, firefighters, doctors, nurses, waitresses, lawncare, etc. plus friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors. You never know how God is going to use a simple gift to change a life. What a way to brighten someone’s day!
