“Praise” is a 24″x30″ abstract painting that I created in acrylics with a contemporary Christian theme. I wanted to portray how giving God praise feels through bright colors and bold brush strokes. To add a bit of interest, I have hidden “God is good” multiple times within the painting.
Psalm 146:1 tells us, “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.” And Psalm 147:1 says, “Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.”
Praising the Lord should be joyful experience as we appreciate the power and greatness of our Creator and all the things that He has done for us. I wanted to reflect the gladness of being a child of God in this colorful piece.

This painting was accepted for exhibition at the Paint Creek Center for the Arts in Rochester, Michigan this past summer in their “Art of Abstraction” show. It was fun to have my work displayed in their fabulous gallery. “Praise” is currently available on my Etsy shop.
